 This External RAID Controller [NE3303-H001] can connect to NEC’s Disk Expansion Unit (2U

[N8192-101][N8192-102]).

・Disk Expansion Unit can be placed just above or just below the server.

 BTO configuration at the server delivery does NOT include RAID configuration. Please do RAID

configuration by using utility setting.

 By using Flash Backup Unit, Write Back is available.

 When configuring Flash Backup Unit, the External RAID Controller is not BTO configured at the server

delivery. In order to configure Flash Backup Unit in BTO, please order NE3300-SV401 (Customized

Service: PCI Cards)

 To configure a large-capacity RAID array, it is recommended to configure in RAID 6 or RAID 60 sith 2x

HDDs in order to minimize the risk of becoming multiple hard drives failure during the RAID rebuilding

process.

 It is recommended to set RAID array configuration drives less than eight in order to minimize the risk

of becoming multiple hard drives failure.

 When using VMware ESXi5.5, please download the latest SMI-S provider from our web site.
